The Royale Sabre is a car for nostalgia lovers harking back to a bygone motoring age. Although designed to look like a car of yesteryear, its technology and bodywork are right up to date. 

This 1987 Royale Sabre, comes with a 2.9 Ltr Granada V6 engine and automatic transmission, full stainless steel exhaust system, genuine Aston Martin wire wheels, Wilton Carpet, Connelly Leather, none age related plate worth £3k and is finished in striking metallic blue. The car has covered just 19,400 miles since its build and is in excellent condition. It comes with electric windows, power steering and an immobilser. The bodywork consists of an aluminium bonnet and the body is reinforced glass-fibre, all built on a substantial fabricated steel chassis. The blue paintwork looks great, but on closer inspection there are some imperfections in the GRP on a few panels. This would not take much to rectify to make the bodywork perfect. A discussion with the original owners son revealed the car had cost over £50k to build and no expense was spared, and that it was never stored or used in the rain.

This Sabre gets a lot of attention when people see it, as they cant work out what it is, so it’s not a car for shrinking violets. Driving the car initially is a little daunting as a hand built non monocoque construction, it drives like a car of yesteryear, you sit low and all you can see is the long bonnet and fenders, but after the first couple of miles the Sabre settles and its a lovely driving experience.
